Overview

Teams Always On is designed with a strict zero-data philosophy. The extension operates entirely on your local machine and does not transmit, collect, or store any personal information.

What Data We Collect

None. We do not collect:

Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
Microsoft Teams messages, chats, or meeting content
Browsing history or website usage patterns
Usage analytics or telemetry
Crash reports or diagnostic data

How the Extension Works

Teams Always On operates 100% locally in your browser:

The extension injects a small script into the Microsoft Teams web page.
At a configurable interval (default: every 25 seconds), it dispatches synthetic mouse and keyboard events to simulate user activity.
Your interval preference is stored in Chrome’s local storage, which never leaves your device.
No network requests are made by this extension, ever.

Data Storage

The only data stored is your interval setting (a single number between 10–120), saved via the chrome.storage.local API. This data:

Lives entirely on your device
Is never synced to any server (we use local, not sync)
Can be cleared at any time by removing the extension

Third-Party Services

We do not integrate with, report to, or share data with any third party.

Permissions Explained

Host permission: `*.teams.microsoft.com`	Required to inject the keep-alive script
Host permission: `*.teams.cloud.microsoft`	Required for the new Teams domain

Children’s Privacy

This extension is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is ever updated, the new version will be published at the Chrome Web Store listing and the date above will be updated. Given that we collect no data, we anticipate no material changes.
